In our collaboration with Wild Bean, a dynamic company in the food and beverage industry, we embarked on an innovative journey via student collab to create packaging design inspired by South African (Mzansi) hand gestures commonly used to indicate desired travel destinations. Drawing inspiration from the rich cultural heritage and vibrant diversity of South Africa, our process began with a deep exploration of traditional hand gestures and their meanings.

Inspired by the expressive nature of these gestures, we conceptualized a packaging design that not only captured the essence of each destination but also celebrated the art of communication through movement. Through intricate illustrations and bold typography, we brought to life iconic landmarks, cultural symbols, and natural wonders associated with popular travel destinations in South Africa.

Prototypes were meticulously developed and tested to ensure both functionality and visual impact. Collaborating closely with Wild Bean, we refined the design iteratively, incorporating feedback and making adjustments until we achieved the perfect balance of cultural authenticity and modern appeal.

The final packaging design for Wild Bean pays homage to the rich tapestry of South African culture and invites consumers on a visual journey through the country's diverse landscapes and experiences.
